Happy New Year everyone, hope you all had a fantastic night and have started your new year resolutions in earnest. The business end of the season starts here but two important messages to get across to all Club Secretarys, Managers, Referees, Players and Supporters are; 1. Administration 2. Conduct (1) If you do not give details of your match by Tuesday 9pm to your opponents you will be fined £8.00, if you still fail to give details to your opponents by Thursday 9pm then theres a strong possibility that you will lose that game by default (Refer to Rule 10(E). (2) If you clubs conduct reaches 30 points in a season then you may face expulsion from the WESFA via an SGM (refer to Rule 17(F). Theres now a line in the sand and the Management Committee will take decisive action regarding the failure of the above two major concerns. As a management team we have tried to keep everyone content with decisions based on emotion and trying to do the right thing although sometimes not exactly by the rule book. These times are now behind us and to bring the WESFA back into the right direction we are applying rules rigidly. The season kicks back into life this Sunday (4th January) with some very interesting ties; Woodside Celtic (Prem) take on South East Wonderers (2nd Div) in the Dewar Shield round 3. South East Wonderers putting their 100% domestic record to the test. Have Woodside Celtic had too much turkey I wonder? Massive fixture in the Win Jones Memorial Bowl quarter final sees Danson Albion host Downham 94, currently the top two in the division. Ken Baillie has the pleasure of reffing this one! 16 League games cast for this Sunday, just hope that Jack Frost does one and permits matches to be played. Good luck to all involved in WESFA activity this Sunday and I will see you at the League General Meeting on Monday 5th January 2015 where we start with an SGM to potentially remove a member club from the constitution.
