Gas price down $2.04, diesel down $1.96 Wednesday, December 31, 2014 (Source The Observer) KINGSTON, Jamaica — Motorists should see a decrease at the pumps in prices of diesel and gasoline effective Thursday, January 1 with a reduction in ex-refinery costs from Petrojam. 87- and 90-octane gasoline will be sold by Petrojam for $92.93 and $94.58 per litre, respectively, down $2.04 each. Automotive diesel fuel will be sold for $94.40 per litre after a decrease of $1.96, while ultra-low sulphur diesel is down by $2.10, and will be sold for $101.26 per litre. Meanwhile, kerosene oil decreased in price by $2.54 and will be sold for $99.49 per litre. Propane liquid petroleum will be sold for $37.00 per litre, down $1.70 cents and butane liquid petroleum will be sold for $42.01 per litre after an increase of 49 cents. Marketing companies and retailers will add their respective mark up.
