Happy New Year to everyone who’s been involved in Last Man - TopicsExpress

Happy New Year to everyone who’s been involved in Last Man Stands Canberra over the last few years but particularly the last 12 months. We bid farewell to long time League Manager James, had abysmal weather from March to June, (coincidence?? Huh? Huh?) had more new teams join in each competition, more tons, 3fas 4fas and 5fas, some atrocious dropped catches and calling between the wickets, raised another $10k for Suicide prevention and awareness with CCSCA, Lifeline ACT and RUOK? Foundation and introduced new umpires and a new league manager in Dave Fuller to LMS. Pretty good year all in all. But that was then and this is 2015!!! With Big Bash Finals, World Cup Matches and Prime Ministers XI, there’s more cricket to watch than you can pole a stick at!! But who just wants to watch? What’s happening with LMS in Canberra I hear you ask!! (Yes Snouter I heard you!) YesNoWait are picking up where 3Short left off and heading to the Last Man Stands World Champs in Barbados for their chance to win the big one and play at Kensington Oval. Pretty big news!! Stay tuned for more info about the team you know you all want to beat! #lmsbarbados There’s still time to register for all our competitions so if you haven’t registered your team yet you can do so by following the links at Http://www,lastmanstands/Canberra We’ve got a couple of spots available on Wednesday nights and still spots open on Sundays! Support the locals who support you. In 2015 we’ll be again supporting local organisations to achieve their Community goals. We continue to partner with our friends at the Canberra City & Suburban Cricket Association and LMS Canberra will be supporting the following charities again in 2015: • Lifeline Canberra • R U OK Day • Special Olympics ACT $5 from each match will be donated to support these organisations in 2015. We thank everyone who’s helped out throughout the year and especially mention Leader Security & Elements4Life - Functional Gym & Personal Training for their very generous auction items donated for this year’s Michael Buhagiar Cup Charity Trivia Night & Auction. We’re looking forward to a massive 2015 in the Canberra region and we thank all of you for helping to make this such a cracking competition in Canberra. Thanks, Pete & Nicole
