Happy New Years Eve FB Family! I was reading different posts about resolutions & I like to make them too, but for the last 2 days my mind kept going to this scripture & after looking at it this morning I understand better why He was taking me there, But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. (Matthew 6:33) Theres hardly a sin that Jesus warns us about more than being overly concerned & distracted by the cares of this world. He has given us duties that require good stewardship but He doesnt want us to carry it too far. He said, Take no thought for your life. Our times are in His hands, to lengthen or shorten, our comforts for bitter or sweet, as He sees fit according to His perfect purposes. Food & clothes are promised to His own, so expect it. If we have given ourselves completely to Him, theres no reason to be anxious about tomorrow or next year or beyond. God has given us life & a body, what can HE Not do for it/us? To seek the Kingdom for our souls & eternity...thats a resolution with eternal purpose. The believers daily submission, communication & trust in the LORD reveals Him over & over. Happy is he that has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God Psalm 146:5 ❤️❤️❤️
