Happy New year all. Could some of the more experienced members of this group give me some advice? I had a call from one of my tenants advising me that 2 of the other tenants have partners in the share house virtually permanently. Key items: • 5 bed ground floor single story flat • 5 to 1 person to bathroom/WC/Kitchen hob amenity ratio as per council requirements • Tenants were told and all documentation (AST / Guide to living in a share house document / Notice board) say that the room is for single person habitation with the occasional visitor (ie stays no more than 2 nights a week) • 7 people now in a flat meant for 5 • All tenants have been good tenants thus far and get on well although obviously the additional 2 freeloaders have now gotten a bit much for the others What are your ideas to ensure the tenants partners don’t overstay their welcome and keep the good harmony between the tenants?
