Happy Saturns Day everyone! :) Todays theme is the Black Family Unit. The Black family as of today lacks structure as a result of racist politics (i.e. chattel slavery, Willie Lynch, Jim Crow, etc). We need to work on rebuilding the Black Family Unit, in order to uplift our community as a whole we have to start within the home. The video below talks of how the Feminist movement, a movement that was started by White women, has added on to the destruction of the Black family. In my opinion feminism has taught our women to have a hatred toward Black men. A lot of our women will say things like Im independent, I dont need a man but that is not of our people. Black men and women should be interdependent of each other. There is a need of both feminine and masculine energies within the home to maintain Maat (balance/order).
