Happy Sunday Everyone. I just wanted to make a quick introduction since youve probably noticed activity at the Jason Massas old home. Betty Borroto, my wife, and I recently bought it and are thoroughly looking forward to giving it some TLC and being a part of such a great community. From the very first day we drove in to Melaleuca Isles, we knew we wanted to live there and after a very surreal emotional rollercoaster of a month, we finally do. A neighborhood with no association where people wave at each other when they drive by and introduce themselves when they are standing outside their homes. We made the right choice! See you all around! Had a couple of simple questions for you veterans here. 1) Do you pay for trash and water separately? Normally, our waste/water were the same bill in Pines. 2) For bulk pickup, how stringent are they on the Plantation rules about using only clear trash bags for yard debris and having to cut 4 bundles that weigh no more than 40 pounds. Given the gargantuan pile we made of overgrowth in the backyard yesterday...that would be daunting and Im really hoping they come with the claw/crane thing and just take massive piles. 3) Were considered not flood zone...but for those of you that have lived here through our wettest hurricanes and summer storms, do you carry flood insurance? I kinda wanted to trust FEMA, but not if that means having to be worried. Thanks in advance and enjoy the rest of your weekend! Jeremy
