Happy Thanksgiving Eve! A Thanksgiving eve story from our executive Director Shawn: Words cannot describe sufficiently the beautiful blessing I just experienced. Nearly every night for the past 3 weeks I have awoken at night sometime many times at night not because of noise or sleeplessness but simply because God has been calling me to pray for the person on the other side of my bedroom wall that is suffering such horrible bouts of body-wretching coughing. It isnt loud or annoying to me nor the source of my restlessness. It has been a blessed source of reminders to pray for those around me suffering. Today God told me to buy honey, lemon-honey tea and to go over there with a bible (some favorite verses marked) and pray for the person that is suffering. It is an old couple Paola and Manuel. Manuel has been suffering for 8 yrs of a stroke, diabetes and now a lung illness. He used to be a pastor. I ask that you lift him up in prayer too and also pray for provision for their needs. Praise God for the boldness to go and share my testimony with them and to hear theirs. Praise God for this beautiful Thanksgiving eve where I could share my thankfulness with some strangers.
