Happy Thanksgiving Everybody. I wish each of you a wonderful Holiday with Family and Friends. Please take the time to tell each and every one of them how important they are to you. My many thanks has to start with having the good fortune to be born to a very cool Mom. It all starts there and I hit the lottery with mine. Mom has been there, like a rock, for both myself and my immediate family so many times they cannot be listed, remembered or properly recognized individually. It is more accurate and more appropriate to simply state that she has been there... always. Thanks, Mom. Next, and likely also properly attributed to my motherly example, is my extraordinary wife, Lori. Whatever example I received my from Mom about lasting love, caring and ultimately, true friendship has been exceeded by this truly remarkable woman, undoubtedly the love of my life. Given the task, words fail miserably to describe the depth of appreciation I feel to share this life with such a partner, Wife and Best Friend. Te amo, Sweetie. Next, and certainly the greatest prize for the gift of the influence these 2 incredible women can have on a man’s life, my three wonderful children. In a time and on a medium where words like “amazing”, “fantastic” and “incredible” have been overused to the point where they have no meaning, I can proudly says my kids meet the threshold of any such glowing adjectives. Like their Grandmother and Mother before them, they exceed language and defy description. Katie will wed soon, and we are proud of the young woman she has become. Her betrothed will also someday understand how his own family will benefit from this chain of strong women in his own life, as Katie comes into her own as a fine, strong woman and partner. Like Katie, Libby has been accepted to her first choice of colleges. She will also undoubtedly make her own mark in the world as a force to be reckoned with. Her bearing and confidence are clear markers for the women who shaped her and guided her as she has also grown into a fine young woman. No man has ever had a better pair of girls. Bobby, like myself, has likely been imprinted with a fascination for strong, confident women. He is compassionate, thoughtful and values friends and family as only someone with self-confidence can. I see his growing loyalty and strength and look forward to see him becoming the young man his destiny points him to be. I pray he finds a partner to match the examples he has grown up with. He will also, someday, be thankful for the examples, like me, he was given in his own life. I am proud to call him my son. I am also thankful for my close Owensboro friends, our home and a fascinating career. My own weaknesses and shortcomings are so often, so brilliantly, supported by those around me. Nearly without exception, where I fail, they are there. Where I am lacking, they provide and fulfill. My blessings are without limits and I am forever grateful and, hopefully, humble as I recognize them as the gifts of limitless value they are to me. Thank you. I love you all. I appreciate you all. I wish you all the very best and the most fulfilling Thanksgiving. Steve
