Happy Thanksgiving! I am thankful for all my blessings especially my friends and family! This year though have a special one ... Yesterday was a second clinic work up on my most complicated case to date. Were 6 weeks and two surgeries into this case. A really nice patient (a bit of a character) who is a chef by profession (and liked my pecan pie popovers). Our team inherited this patient after 3 other failed procedures and it was an either or proposition, the technology from my company or a below the knee amputation. Even after surgery one it was still 50-50. Well yesterday it appears that things are healing and proceeding better than anyone including the surgeon could have hoped for ... Im thankful for this and praying it continues and I am especially thankful for having one seriously cool job which allows me to make a difference (even ever so slightly) in a single persons life.
