Happy Thanksgiving everyone. And Im thankful for the good people in my life which is year round. Im not thankful for the terrible things done to Native Americans long ago. My family has Native American (Cherokee) blood. Like most people, I do not celebrate Thanksgiving for what happened in past. With that said, anyone who is hung up on people celebrating Thanksgiving, assuming everyone does it in support of the past, is in fact, dwelling on the past. Which helps nothing. It doesnt matter the race or culture in History. Every skin color has been horribly screwed over by another at some point and it continues to happen today. Its not just fear, race, religion, money driven wars or what the government is planning for you. Its also what people are allowing to happen in their own homes in regard to the lackadaisical, piss poor quality parenting that screws everyone for the future. But most people have a difficult time holding that mirror to their face...its everyone elses fault, isnt it? So thank you to all of you great parents...who actually do things with their kids! Celebrate your awesome family that you deserve today, with great times and food. :)
