Happy Thanksgiving everyone from Eddie and the Zuleta family. Didnt have it in me to write much of anything today, so Im sharing my Thanksgiving post and video on his original page from last year. Most of the post still holds true this Thanksgiving. However, comparing how Eddie looks in video then vs. how he looks now, there is clearly a marked changed for the better. I am thankful for that today. From 11/27/2013: Although this year was marked by the most horrendous of accidents befalling Eddie and as a result nearly tearing my family apart, we have found many things to be thankful for tonight. Eddie survived the near-drowning and continues to slowly progress and move along the road to recovery as evidenced by this Prayer Page despite all prognosis to the contrary. For this we are thankful to God, who heard our prayers and pleas those initial dark days when things looked absolutely bleak. We are thankful to Eddie himself, for that fire and will to live. We are thankful to the LAFD and the Northridge PICU Staff who saved our son through Gods grace and their expertise. We are thankful to the staff at Totally Kids and UCLA who have helped guide Eddie along since he went from critical to stable condition. We are thankful to outside research help and therapies, in particular Dr. Dimancescu, Mimi Geoffrey, Emma Speed and others who are currently researching any and all treatment options. We are thankful to all of Eddies family, Zuleta and Smith, who have been a constant presence at his side. And we are thankful to the prayer support and positive energy generated from all you supporters on this Prayer Page and outside of it. All things considered, we are extremely grateful on this Thanksgiving evening. Thank you and God Bless you all. -Dad
