Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends and family, hope you all had a great feast, but more importantly a day thinking about what your thankful tor. I had a fun day spent with my wife and boys, and inlaws. Excellent food prepared but my wife, who always works so hard making sure everyone is thought of and happy. We had a traditional baked turkey, camp potatoes, mashed potatoes, and gravy stuffing, a green beans dish, stuffed mushrooms, cranberrys, and olives. My father in law made his awesome garlic bread, and a cranberry/jalapeño dip, and pies, pumpkin snd apple. Everything was perfect and prepared with Love. No attention to detail was missed, and Ellies hard work was appreciated by ALL. As today progressed I thought alot about whats important to me and what Im thankful for. For those of you that know me you know that the last several years have been tough for me, from the crash in the economy, to losing my Dad. Im thankful to God for leading me to a closer relationship with Him, Im thankful that Hes walked along side of me, before me and behind me, even when I felt alone fighting to control my destiny, because even thou I didnt see it He was there desiring me to trust Him and lean on Him. Im thankful Hes true to His words and that He never failed me. Im Also thankful for my family. Wealth can be defined in may ways some people judge wealth by money, and things/stuff, I dont have that kind of wealth, lol, but when I weigh in the balance of things in life, I can say Im not poor, Im not middle class, but rich. What makes me rich is my family, their love, and my love for them. Im thankful for the joy they bring me, Im thankful for the love they give, Im thankful for our relationships, Im thankful for great parents, and great sisters, Im thankful I have a wife that loves the Lord, who encourages me, keeps me focused, and who pays attention to details. Im thankful she doesnt see it beneath her or insulting to make me a sandwich or serve me a cold drink. Im thankful my boys are respectful men that seek God and His wisdom, who arent afraid or intimidated to share Him with others. Im thankful for their friendship, and their hard work when things need to get done. And last but not least Im thankful Gods blessed me with with great hunting dogs, a good job, and great extended Family, and Friends. God bless, hope you All had a great day. Heres a handful of pictures from today. From watching while snaking as the cook prepares food, to my boys playing some of their music for their grand parents. The first picture is our standing kitchen motto.
