Happy Thursday! #throwbackthursday #tbt Even though it snowed this morning, its officially spring today so we thought wed share a rather interesting occurance from the 80s! Originally published in the June 8th, 1983 issue of the Strathroy Age Dispatch: Bigamy in the Farmyard: Alex Ferguson has a gander that doesnt want any geese to be lonely. Normally, a goose and a gander mate for life, but in Alexs farmyard this spring a gander has taken two Canadian geese for wives and sired offspring with both of them. The gander spends time with each family, who have nested about 100 feet apart. Alex has been raising geese for a quarter of a century and says hes never seen anything like it. Maybe its the Geratol I put in his feed this spring, he winked.
