Happy Thursday to everyone. Reflecting on 9-11 and what it means to us as a nation of immigrants. I know that many politicians talk about creating an open honest society that seeks peace. Internationally were still THE superpower. Domestically yes, I do agree that were moving towards equality yet racism still plagues so much of the US. Minorities suffer the cruel inequity and are more likely to suffer from gun violence, which is now totally out of hand. Our education system is under attack religious extremists. Our minimum wage requires that in most states you need to work nearly 80 hours to afford an apartment. Were still seeing the now largely privatized prison industrial complex grow. Drought, environmental devastation and GMOs now compete with our agricultural products and commodities. We subsidize crappy foods like Sugar. Really? We can fix this. Will our House of Reps even try? So when considering 9-11 realize theres a whole lot more worth fighting for and speaking out against corporate welfare and huge companies leaving the US for tax purposes. Our rights as citizens are being trampled by Corp polluters and lobbyists. Who is looking out for you & me? Occupy the brains of our leaders. Increase the peace especially today. Thank you.
