Happy Veterans Day to those who wore or still wear the military uniform, and please know your service is recognized, highly respected, and very appreciated. A 2009 Gallup poll shared 82 percent of those surveyed had a great deal or quite a lot of confidence in the military. Additionally, an AEI Studies Public Opinion poll shared substantial majorities of Americans think serving in the military is a sign of patriotism, and the military is also one of the most positively viewed institutions in the country. The Word shares in John 15:13 (ESV), “Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” I consider it a privilege to be counted among you, have family members who served too, and made contributions towards earning the honor, respect and gratitude from members of a nation who liberty depended on our fidelity. And for those who continue to serve in our military, THANK YOU for your willingness to also, if necessary, like many before you, sacrifice your mortal life to protect our family, friends, and the rest of our nation’s citizenry from all enemies, foreign and domestic.
