Happy Wednesday! Before I begin talking about mom- Im asking for all of our Karebear followers to say a prayer for someone who is family to us. Her name is Lindsay, and she had a stroke today. She is the niece of my dads best friend since high school. She is only 31, and has a gorgeous daughter who is just starting elementary school. Lindsay is incredible and so strong. We are confident that she will be back at 100% before we know it, but either way your prayers could help strengthen her as they have strengthened my mom. As far as my mom- she had another good day. She pulled her trach out very late last night and handed it to her speech therapist. This happens more and more as she reestablishes her rang of motion, but this time they had to switch out her trach, which causes her further irritation. She is completely okay now, just a little tired from the commotion and late night. We are continuing our prayers that she gains understanding and patience in her healing. We brought Mia over again today and Mia seemed to be more comfortable and even laid down on the bed and rested her head on moms leg. When I asked Karen if she wanted to pet her she said yes and I helped her give Mia some love. More tomorrow, thank you for your continued prayers and love. XO KK
