Happy Wednesday, FaceMookies..... Ms. Jean resting comfortably after MAJOR shoulder surgery which reportedly addressed and corrected: A major ligament tear, bone spurs and a ragged and shot-to-hell rotator cuff, missing and destroyed cartilage, and muscle tissue damage. Surgery was invasive, but prognosis is excellent, and the surgeon predicts a complete recovery, although the days of blithely waltzing through the metal detector at the airport are over for Mrs. Baxter. Stay tuned for my rant involving sloppy and unprofessional doctors, screaming public and medical industry paranoia in regard to ease of availability of decent pain management medicine, disgust and horror at the medical industry in general, snooty-ass little wet-behind-the ears pharmacists, and my last visit ever to Walgreens. Its so bad I might have to write it in installments. Good news is that I was able to use the entire negative experience as a Real World Acid Test of my ongoing late-life quest for the virtues of patience, forbearance, and sense of personal humility. I feel like I passed the test. With maybe a B+. Progress must always continue to be made in our emotional and spiritual lives. If we are standing still, we are backing up. Sorry, not bragging... No one is more surprised than I am that I did not beat the shit out of someone yesterday, as much as I felt like it. Small victories are the best ones..... Besides, most of those women I dealt with looked pretty mean, especially the smaller ones. And now, on with what appears to be the start of a beautiful October day. Love yall....
