Happy are those who know they are spiritually poor; the Kingdom of heaven belongs to them! Matthew 5:3(GNB) This is a very important attitude for a Christian to cultivate in his or her relationship with God. One important thing that makes a Christian to grow fast and to learn rapidly in his or her Christian faith is if he knows how spiritually poor he is. The right attitude for you as a child of God is to recognize the poverty of your spirit, saying, if I know enough, I will not be here. If I am good enough or I am what I should be, God would not have put me here. It is because I dont know enough and I am not yet good enough for the future that God has for me, that He puts me here under my teacher. The question you should be asking at every point is, Lord, what lessons do you want me to learn from this? What are you teaching me in this? What is it that will be carved in my life from this?
