Happy belated Fourth of July, everyone. This post has been viewed close to 2 million times since Thursday night. Shockingly, many of the comments have been somewhat less than in keeping with a festive holiday spirit. In fact, Ive learned that Kendall Jones, the college girl who hunts big game in Africa, is second only to me for the title of Worst Person on the Planet. I keep my award on my mantle, next to my t-ball participation trophy. If you havent read it, here you go. On Monday Ill write up a few responses to some of the thoughtful critiques levied against this piece. For now, I plan to sign off line and spend the day sitting in a lawn chair, drinking beer. The trolls can wait.
