Happy birthday Dinu Lipatti! Born on March 19th 1917, Dinu Lipatti, one of the Greatest Pianists of the 20th Century is for sure the most mystical with the absolute purity of his interpretations and its exceptional fluidity which perfectly tuned up with Chopin’s music! His interpretations of Mozart and Frédéric Chopin are still the references! As he said himself : “Music has to live under our fingers, under our eyes, in our hearts and in our brains with all that we, the living, can offer it.” But as mystical pianist, he had a tragic end : his carrier was tragically interrupted by the Hodgkins disease and he suddenly died at 33.
