Happy birthday January. As I sit here and think of what to say to you today, all I can do is cry. I think back of when you were such a shy little girl holding on to my pant leg for dear life. Never straying off to far from your Mommy. and now, 35 years later; your still holding on for dear life... only this time, its me thats not willing to let go. You have went from that shy little girl who rode her bike up and down the block and into that old driveway in Oakland, to this Beautiful, talented and courageous young woman who never ceases to amaze me. You are my hero Maria. When all others are running away from the fire, youre running into it to make sure no one is left behind. You once told me you Wanted to be Social Worker so you could make the world a safer place for Anthony Crawford and any other kid in need. You do that and much much more. You are fierce when it comes to saving someone Maria. and I just want to thank you for always saving me. I love Maria, much more that words can say. Have a wonderful Birthday babe. You certainly deserve it.
