Happy birthday Malaysia, many happy returns to you The beloved bendera is fluttering in the breeze Displaying its yellow, red, white and blue. This years celebrations wont be so jolly as the country is still wiping her tears As MH370 and 71 are remembered, the loss of lives, families and communities seared. Your 57th year was not a good one stained with negativity and smears. Lack of logic bitterness, racism, and religiousity that drove us to tears. A new start is here now as we enter another new year May it be a year of justice, righteousness, sensitivity A year when each citizen bears responsibility for healing, kindness, acceptance Of norms, beliefs of the different races, which have made Malaysia one of the most coveted places. Lets ALL then rise to the occasion, dry our tears, hold our heads up high We can do it, if only we would ALL try Once again make Malaysia a place to be envied with secure, happy, confident people Causing glory to reach on High.
