Happy christmas to all my friends and family..this last year has been an inspiring one for me.lots has happened. But the most poignant time for me was a chance meeting with Paula Green who I met in the spring of this year through facebook. Who had started her own local charity with her two children Kerah Green and kraig green called Adis mission, The Brain Tumour Charity. I realised after talking with paula how lucky a lot of us are.and how we can take life for granted. To me personally I changed how I think now. I do think about people who right now are fighting diseases. Whatever their ages. I have met some lovely people since getting involved with the charity. And seen for myself the generosity from people. But more importantly realised how much I use to dismiss charities myself..but they do need your help. All charities do.as we never know what is going to happen. People say charity begins at home. Adis mission did start at home. And now its helping others...so I want to thank paula and her children for asking myself and my husband to be involved for what made a turning point in my life. Helping others is the best feeling in the world however big or small. And hope for the future that we can eliminate brain tumours. And all other diseases. That take our loved ones way to soon. So in 2015 we will continue to be part of the charity. And we will make a difference..it just took one chance meeting remember and now I think maybe I will need their help. Or a loved one will. I am proud to be part of such a wonderful team. And Nicola Burley who has done far more than me. Has always supported and organised so much for Adis mission. I just want to say thank you. And to paula and her inspiring family HAPPY CHRISTMAS. and cant wait to get stuck in next year...love Carol Hebblewhite-Hartley and Shane Hartley..and thank you to all the people who helped paula pass her target in the first year...AMAZING xx
