Happy ending! Maya took a week or two to get past her initial anxiety and has settled into a quiet life at our home. She loves the children, who enjoy walking, petting and playing with her. Sister Ally, however, has fast become the kids dog with her rambunctious personality, and Maya is moms dog! Maya is a sweet, gentle soul. She follows mom around the house and yard and plops down wherever she stops. Maya loves to take walks and explore the yard. She has made great progress on her storm anxiety, too! Instead of hiding under the couch this last storm, Maya ran to mom to be comforted. When new people come to the house, Maya clings to mom until she knows things are ok. Maya has rounded out the family nicely with her calm, sensitive personality and everyone is happy! Who knew wed get so lucky!
