Happy tears... Just spoke to the PA of a doctor Im going to be seeing... she asked me to explain my symptoms and why I thought I needed to be seen by the special GI/Allergy clinic... after squashing 15 years of bizarre medical history into 5 minutes she says I think it would be beneficial to see the doctor outside of the GI clinic... weve seen 7-8 patients in the past week similar to you and I dont think you need to sit through the GI portion.. ... I stopped her and asked her to explain what she meant by 7 or 8 patients just like me ... she said you know young women who seem healthy, but have episodes similar to yours to different triggers like food, strong fragrances, extreme cold, and even exercise. We then went on to have a nice little conversation about how this thing (no name yet cause I havent seen the doctor) needs more awareness because its real and people all over (mainly young women) are suffering from it. I cant wait to meet this doctor and am hoping I can finally put a name to these bizarre symptoms... and hopefully control them better as well!
