Happy tears all around. You may remember Cashmere from the - TopicsExpress

Happy tears all around. You may remember Cashmere from the hoarding situation in July, where we took in 9 dogs in terrible shape. Cashmere was older, tumorous, had terrible teeth and a nasal fistula, and had 17 tattooed on her inner ear - a sad reminder of her loveless past as a breeding machine for profit. We promised those dogs: never again. Meet the folks who saw beyond all that to the sweet, gentle, loving soul inside. Pictured here (on the inside) are Flo, our foster coordinator, and Aimee, who saw Cashmere through her difficult mental and physical rehabilitation. Aimee said she thought Cashmere would be with her until she crossed the rainbow bridge; who would want a senior, toothless dog with Cushings Disease? Answer: Matt and Karen, who adopted Cashmere yesterday, giving her the life and family she always deserved, just in time for the holidays. You can give deserving animals like Cashmere the love they never had. Help us reach our year end goal by December 31st, and every dollar you donate will be DOUBLED by three generous donors, up to $30,000. Were just over halfway there, and we dont want the countless pets in need to lose a penny of the matched funds they need to survive -and thrive- like little Cashmere has! Please help at bwar.org/holiday-matching-challenge; if youve already donated, thank you! And if youre looking to add a small dog to your home, consider Harry, a little Maltese boy blind in one eye, who is the last of the 9 hoarding dogs, at tinyurl/nbdwbvd.
