Despite international condemnation, Israel has intensified attacks on Gaza. Over 200 children lie dead, 1000s more are injured. Those who had sought sanctuary in UN shelters were massacred in their sleep. In one night it was said that Israeli fire destroyed 50 homes, 3 Mosques, 4 factories, TV & Radio stations and several Government buildings (including the Finance Ministry and the Interior Ministry) alongside schools and kindergartens. Hospitals are left without power and unable to provide life saving care and support. The destruction of port facilities denies aid to those who suffer. Trapped behind Israeli-guarded borders on all sides Gazans have no choice but to remain sitting ducks. This is a deliberate assault on civilians and we call for you to withdraw your troops and cease fire immediately.
