Hard to believe 2 weeks ago today I was just undergoing cervical and spine surgery. Today is my 2 week follow-up with my physician assistant and hopeful I can graduate from this horrible rigid cervical collar I wear to bed to a soft collar. Whatever the outcome, I can say goodbye to the past two weeks, its fears, uncertainty and pain. I am entering week 3 and for the most part, pain free. Albeit uncomfortable at times, I can resume life, walk, eat, laugh, cry, hug, kiss and embrace the help, love and comfort of others. I am also going to enjoy the beautiful weather in store for us today. The VA hospital is 1 block away, I think ill make a special visit there today to thank those who served and are not as fortunate as I am today. Today is a better day plus... my hubby is off today too and we can spend it together
