Hard to believe, but another Rober-Con Roberson Scifi Convention has come and gone this weekend. It seems like we had great crowds both days, and the panels I attended, looked in on or heard about were well populated and engaging. Thank you, thank you, thank you to all panelists for participating. I literally could not have done it without you. Special shout-outs: -Doc David Rasey, who as emcee wrangled the filled-to-overflowing crowd at the costume contest this afternoon and helped to make it one of the highlights of the weekend. - Crystal Sarakas for organizing and recruiting all the awesome authors - including amazing author guest of honor Laura Anne Gilman. - Rocco Passionino, media guest of honor, who gave us a fascinating look behind the scenes of movies and TV. (Basically, never trust anything you see!) - Larry Kassan, who not only ran some cool Twilight Zone panels this weekend but also ran tech stuff for the ballroom and the Carousel Theater as well as arranging for the Planet of the Apes showing at Binghamton High School last night. - And of course to Jason Fiume, Roberson organizer extraordinaire, for putting up with the madness (mostly from me). If anyone has any feedback or constructive criticism about what could or should be done next year, drop me a message or email. I have lots of ideas buzzing around in my head for next year and wed love to have more help to organize it all.
