Hard to believe but the combination of Simon & Garfunkel originated as a songwriting team so long ago in 1955 a long time before they broke through 11 years later in 1966. The more sedate of the team Art Garfunkel is celebrating his 72nd birthday today, on the same day that Canadian singer-guitarist Bryan Adams is turning just 55. Also blowing out candles and 67 of them is Peter Noone lead singe for Hermans Hermits through the hit filled 60s and into the 70s before they went their own ways with Peter then settling in the USA, where he still resides today where he is still totally busy with a continuing schedule of performing appearances. Roy went on to entertain us at many a movie matinee before switching successfully to TV with his wife Dale in the 60s.
