Harding actually ended up having his Video Swallow Study done at 3:30 instead of 2:30, and we just got back from it. The results are... HE DID AMAZING!!!! The doctors were literally shocked at how well Harding did. He took 40mls through a bottle with NO ISSUES WHATSOEVER! So we are going to start giving him 30mls (1oz) through a bottle with EVERY feeding (before this he was only getting 10mls twice a day) with a Level 1 nipple (before this he was using a premie nipple). We will just keep increasing the volume he takes through a bottle as he can tolerate it. THIS IS AMAZING!! They no longer think he will need a G Tube but its still an option just in case. In case you arent aware, most kids with a trache are not able to take a bottle, it alters the way they swallow. So the fact that he can take one is a MIRACLE!! HAPPY DANCE WITH ME!! Praise you God, your love endures forever!
