Hardly any new music is appealing anymore. Nothing unique and nothing mind boggling. Honestly, when was the last time you found an artist that left you speechless, or begging for more? But not in a way that you say every time you hear a new band. Something truly unique and refreshing. Mine was Glass Ocean. Completely blew my mind. Im not saying everything is terrible by any means, but if youre sticking to one or maybe two genres or just subgenres of music, youre just as boring. Bands that I love are putting out music and its great, it really is. Like for example, Outline In Color - Masks. Absolutely phenomenal. Not breaking any new boundaries with music, but still powerful and unique. Adestria - Gilded Hearts. An extremely well rounded album. Again, not going to new lengths to bring everyone a new form of music, but amazing all the same. Some artists can pull it off, but im tired of hearing carbon copies of other artists. Try something new. Lately, Ive been trying to venture out and find new music to fall in love with. From all genres. So if youre like me, maybe you should check some of these artists out.
