Hark the Herald Printing Press. Going back to my BFF of Classical - TopicsExpress

Hark the Herald Printing Press. Going back to my BFF of Classical Composers Felix Mendelssohn and my infatuation with men of the 18th Century; an interesting thing to share about Felix. For some reason, he keeps showing up in my radar....but nevertheless Felix wrote this cantata titled Festgesang to celebrate Johannes Gutenburg who invented the first move able printing press in 1840. IMAGINE...JUST IMAGINE how correct and insightful Mendelssohn was as a man of creative genius himself to know how important of an invention this was??? (As I type..); and having to make mention that those who have great minds have great humility and humility has no fear of respect, and respect has no fear the other persons attributes; everything is capable but not everything participates, so when one toils and gives to their creativity, it is always honored by the honorable. Hark the Herald Angels sing was actually written by John Wesley I think around the early 1700s and over went different adaption to its original music score. Finally though, Wesley s co-worker George Wakefield attached this song Festgesang perfectly to what we now recognize the chorale version of Hark the Herald Angels Sing And I find that KIND OF AMAZING because so many newspapers that utilized that moving printing press of Gutenburg s were called The Herald (something or another). Here is Festgesang and Ill put up Hark the Herald by St Johns Choir at Cambridge if I can find it. Crossing PR on the train soon Saddle Rivera
