Harpoonam Manku Dear Dr.Simrit Gill, making mockery of a fellow - TopicsExpress

Harpoonam Manku Dear Dr.Simrit Gill, making mockery of a fellow gynaecologist in adversity is very easy. But let me draw your kind attention to a few points you have conveniently ignored.1) The severely anaemic patient in labour was referred by a highly efficient gynaecologist from another Civil Hospital to Civil hospital,Tarn Taran and not to me personally.2)I was in the Operation Theatre from 11am to 3pm on that day, and done FIVE major surgeries, which can be confirmed from the hospital records, and HENCE totally oblivious of the happenings outside the OT.3)Another regular gynaecologist was also on duty on the same day plus three highly trained staff nurses in the labour room.4)I had been handling a deluge of OBG patients including high risk cases like rupture uterus, etc.at this very hospital.I have been doing per day8-10 major surgeries, attending innumerable delivery case, minor operations, heavy OPD Rush,Family Planning cases, medico legal(rape cases) and attending the court cases as an expert witness in ALL of them, attending training sessions, and giving trainings, attending meetings(PNDT,MDR,)etc.etc.with CS,DHS office, etc.etc.and all this, mind it,all without the help of intelligent, dependable junior residents team and the supervision and able, protective guidance of such highly qualified faculty members; but SINGLE HANDEDLY with a very poor basic infrastructure, and little help and under the continuous onslaught of some local mischievous elements including the media, with the onus of responsibility falling on the gynaecologist if anything inadvertently goes wrong.I know some people are getting sadistic pleasure out of this adversity but coming from a fellow gynaecologist, whom I hardly know, prove a little too much.
