Harriet Tubman said, I could have freed more if only they knew they were slaves. A line (paraphrased) from 12 Years a Slave stated, Them n#@$&^ aint gonna fight with us. They slaves! They were born slaves and they got no fight in em. That sentiment is similar to the thinking of some people we all know. They would rather be left alone in the condition theyre in...rather than fighting to get out of it. That mindset that has been passed down from generation to generation that deliberately crippled and debilitated them is nothing more than slavery to ones self. Even when theres a chance to escape their deplorable condition, theyre so comfortable in their situation...that to escape would seem like punishment. Amen...Amen...Amen #ItisaMindset
