Harry Lewis: As I predicted, the GOP lost this fight. In battle, real character, good and bad, is exposed. The President was prepared to take the country over the fiscal cliff rather than compromise. Hes won for now, but his victory will fester as the problems he refused to resolve grow worse. The out-of-control government spending continues, and tax reform to restore economic growth and competitiveness is ignored. The president has turned Obamacare into a Swiss cheese of waivers, exemptions, and special privileges for large corporations, labor unions, and assorted cronies. ObamaCare is to be financed on the backs of young workers, of whom there will be too few to carry the burden. This is Obamas legacy to the next generation of Americans. They must be thrilled
