Harry Reids days running the Senate are over... This is a bloodbath victory against the Democrats. And its about time. If all good things must eventually come to an end, all bad things certainly will…and with Democrat’s two most recent losses, a very bad eight years of Democrat control of the Senate have finally ended. Jodi Ernst and Thom Tillis sealed the deal with victories in Iowa and North Carolina respectively. In Iowa local news is reporting that Ernst’s win is all but inevitable. In North Carolina, the Winston-Salem Journal is reporting 95 percent of votes accounted for with Tillis leading Hagan by more than 52,000 votes. The corrupt and ethically-challenged, as well as very unlikeable Harry Reid has mismanaged the Senate in such a despicable fashion during his tenure as Senate Majority Leader, that he is almost single-handedly responsible for the gridlock that has plagued Washington DC. Harry Reid is responsible for jamming the unconstitutional Obamacare bill through the Senate, a bill that never should have even originated in the Senate, as it is a revenue-raising measure, which are supposed to originate in the House, as per the Constitution. Harry Reid has ignored and changed long-standing tradition and rules in the Senate, instituting the so-called “nuclear option” that allowed Democrats to push through some of President Obama’s political appointees on a simple majority, instead of the customary 60 vote threshold, stripping the Republican minority of their right and ability to object. Reid has also sat on a stack of bills duly passed by the Republican House for the past four years, refusing to give them the consideration they are due, or allowing them to come to the floor for a vote, presiding over a truly “do-nothing” Senate. Hopefully, all of that could change now, with Kentucky’s Mitch McConnell taking over as Majority Leader.
