Harsh night for this mom. As were on our way to Patterson, while turning onto i-10 from i-55 in Laplace, Acadian is running code in front of us. I instantly go back to the morning we were following that ambulance with koty in it to childrens hosp for the snake bite. I then look next to me and see Koty with me and silently thank God again for healing him. Then as we continue our trip koty, being the intelligent child he is, knew he had me trapped. He brought up the subject of him enlisting and wanting to do an early enlistment. Unlike all the other times, I could not walk.away from him to avoid this conversation. He took his asvab earlier this week and informed me HE will enlist in the Marines....its just a matter of when. My heart broke :(. We finally make it to the game, froze, screamed some and lost. As i realize WIll is in high school already it seems unreal. Then will comes over and hugs me then hugs his Lil gf. This is my baby (at least for 8 years) Im not use to seeing this but then I know I have to let him grow up. Again my heart broke :( I love my kids and live my life to teach, love and guide them. My heart is broke but I know I have a lot to be proud of and thankful for. So all in all please say a lil prayer for me. I need strenght.
