Harshad Do you remember back in the day many moons ago, quiz master Siddharth Basu would hold a BBC Mastermind quiz show [adapted from BBC Mastermind UK]. If youre unfamiliar with this show, in a nutshell, four contestants take it in turns to answer questions over two rounds, against the clock. The first two-minute round comprises questions on each contestants chosen specialist subject, and the second two-minute round tests general knowledge. The winner of each contest goes forward to the next knockout phase of the competition. It is one of the most popular quiz programmes on television, having run for forty-two years in UK. Now coming back to Siddharth basus BBC Mastermind India, circa 2002-ish, our dear old friend Vikram [do you recall this incident, mate?] knowing my love for Floyd, rang me up and hurriedly told me to switch on the televison and tune into BBC India. And as I recall, one of the contests [mustve been from Calcutta or something] had chosen his subject titled The Musical History of Pink Floyd. My glory knew no bounds at that very moment.
