Has Missouri Governor Jay Nixon pre-emptively declared Martial Law in advance of the Ferguson Missouri Grand Jury verdict? The Missouri Governors Declaration states: NOW, THEREFORE, I, JEREMIAH W. (JAY) NIXON, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF MISSOURI, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and Laws of the State of Missouri, including Sections 44.010 through 44.130, RSMo, do hereby declare a State of Emergency exists in the State of Missouri. Section 41.480. 1. The governor may, when in his opinion the circumstances so warrant, call out the organized militia or any portion or individual thereof to execute the laws, suppress actual and prevent threatened insurrection and repel invasion. The governor, if in his judgment the maintenance of law and order will thereby be promoted, may by proclamation declare martial law throughout the state or any part thereof. The Governor has the legal the authority to call up troops and HE EXERCISED IT. Using troops when local/state resources is ineffective is called MARTIAL LAW. People also do not consider GROPING at the TSA a violation of their civil rights because they dont have a bomb in their crotch & they want to fight terrorism. We should not be so quick to surrender our rights simply because others want to loot & burn. The problem with the broad authority of MARTIAL LAW imposed upon non-violent protestors is what some are not grasping. Some minds only believe that the troops will have authority over the criminals.
