Has anyone had any experience of their dogs on Rimadyl pain killers? One of Tessies sisters went and had a general anaesthetic and an x-ray in the middle of last week and was given the these pain killers to come home with to ease the pain in her leg. She had 2 pain killers and then an allergic reaction started. She was vomiting and had serious diarrhoea and was close to deaths door. She had an endoscope which revealed she had acute gastritis and esophogitis. She was still vomiting and had dirroheah, and wouldnt eat even witrh appetite stimulants. She was put on a drip. She has now recovered enough to be allowed home again this weekend and is making progress. Ive googled Rimadyl and have read some horrifying reports of dogs dying by reactions to it. It would be good to remember the name of these in case your vets suggest prescribing them for your dogs.
