Has anyone seen Machine Gun Preacher? Watching it on Netflix right now. Based on a true story, UNBELIEVABLY AWESOME!!! There are a lot of things going on in Africa. Its about time we take an interest and LEARN! Blood diamonds, canned hunts, mining for coltan, the clash of Christians and Muslims, civil war in Darfur..... our society is no longer defined by its physical borders. We live in a GLOBAL society. What happens on another continent is often caused by our consumption and what goes around, comes around. Although the Ebola epidemic in Western Africa is a legitimate threat, it is not the only issue we should pay attention to. I believe that we have a chance to use our ability to live with compassion, to save ourselves and our planet. Everyone will benefit if we do. We all matter and our actions affect the future of humanity. For the sake of our children and grandchildren, I hope we get our priorities straight and start making some better choices. We are certainly capable of it! Again, great film!! I hope some of you take the time to watch it!!! Of course.....
