Has anyone seen a favorite animation of mine called, The Sky Crawlers? Its fm a great novel that uses the premise that in the future, all wars are conducted by corporations using clones. The theory being that humans have a natural competitive nature that includes political battles over territory, or resources, thus to meet this thirst without actually destroying humanity and countries, the corporations take over, much like a sports game. In the animation version, they feature two planes that were under development at the end of WWII, but never actually used in combat. Kyushu J7W1 Shinden, and a modified MIG-3 with an updated 12-cyl Supercharged engine. The story is very deep in thoughts of morality, immortality, relationships with clones, love, loss and courage.
