Has anyone taught Dave Pelzers My story/A child called it before? It is such an emotionally tough book would love to benefit from the experience of others. Successful so far; I issued it friday last period and had planned to stop them 10min before the bell to hand course booklets out. My mixed ability/resistant readers were all so clearly engrossed in their reading I couldnt bring myself to interrupt - that has to be the best feeling within a classroom!
