Has anyone used Town and Country lettings to rent a property? And if so did you pay an admin fee of £120 and not get it back? I did in 2013 and didnt realise then that its unlawful for that to happen in Scotland, until someone posted on this page a few weeks ago about another agency doing it. Got it back now after many phone calls to them. They dragged their heels until I threatened to expose the case on social media. They paid up because they were obviously worried about the flood gates opening and loads of people wanting money back. And their good reputation being damaged. I feel its only right to share this now incase anybody else has been out of pocket the same way I was. Give them a call. Ive also contacted trading standards who are looking into it too!
