Has been a little while since I pointed a camera at a bird in anger, so I decided on a stroll around the Wellard Wetlands. Spotted a Sacred Kingfisher, a few Cormorants looking skywards that alerted me to the presence of the resident WBSEs (alas the WBSEs were chased out of the area by the Ravens again). Wattlebirds were plentiful and saw quite a few Red Capped Parrots that were not a flighty as on previous visits. Hoary Headed Grebes and Black Fronted Dotterels were also present along with Kites, Pelicans, Spoonbills and Hardhead and Blue Billed Ducks.
