Has neuroscience established that religious experiences can be - TopicsExpress

Has neuroscience established that religious experiences can be equated to the brain activity of the Limbic system and temporal lobe? Moreover; Has neuroscience refuted that religious experiences are essentially material? Well my answer is no. And my argument or the basis for my answer is as follows: 1. Nonscientific research claims that there is a correlation between the Limbic system/ Temporal lobe (of the brain) and religious experiences, because when the limbic system is stimulated religious experiences occur. 2. However, without a Religious criterion a religious experience cannot be identified. (Without (for example) the Knowledge of biblical hermeneutics (Or the rules that govern interpretation and understanding) and Exegesis (or the application of the rules) it is impossible to validate whether X is a religious experience or not) 3. Thus, if the Nonscientific research was done without a religious criterion, then it assumes that there is a correlation between the the brains limbic system/Temporal lobe and religious experience. 4.The Nonscientific research was not done without a religious criterion, because Neuroscientists/Researchers do not know biblical hermeneutics and exegesis. 5. Therefore the Nonscientific research assumes that there is a correlation between the brains limbic system/temporal lobe and religious experiences.
