Has the current approaches to cultural funding failed? Dave OBrien and Abigail Gilmore, senior lecturers in arts management in the UK, argue that old models of financing cultural policy and preserving cultural heritage are no longer effective. Instead, they invite universities and art organisation to step in and call on governments to explore new proposals, use creativity and innovation to re-define cultural policy.
