Has the prevention of Domestic violence suddenly become the banner - TopicsExpress

Has the prevention of Domestic violence suddenly become the banner waved for all men and womens groups across America seemingly so. While I do agree with its premise, I for one will not jump on the band wagon of damn everyman who has had to confront the involvement of that accusation. Lets face facts here, every woman that screams wolf has not been bitten but, she can endeavor to make it seem as so for a multitude of reasons i.e. vengeance, money, retaliation and just down right bitterness. Of course that is not to say that there are not legitimate cases of domestic abuse Im than positive that are many in every city in the country, its just the media has portrayed only black men who have had that accusation before them or are going through it, we only hear one side of the story as with Mike Tysons former wife Robbin Givens whos face appeared on the fox news network on Sunday evening as its guest, speaking on behalf of women on the domestic violence issue, in my opinion she along with many others railroaded that youngman because of his immaturity, lack of guidance and his inability to accurately defend himself, he was most definitely the victim in that association and, she does not merit being the spokes person in defense of those who have fallen victim to domestic violence. Of course as the media would have it they want to demonize every man of color especially those who have a professional sports career, make lots of money and have done domestic problems in their past. Even Adrian Peterson of the Minnesota Vikings who has no involvement in a domestic violence case was lumped into that category because, he has given his child a few welts from a switch something millions of us experienced as a child growing up in a black family. To the NFL and its commissioner its as if they never knew domestic violence existed, while I understand football is a business and they have millions of female fans, for those football players who have had an incidence of being involved in a domestic dispute in the past, until their entire cases have been reviewed by an established NFL panel assigned to do just that , they should not have to suffer NFL suspensions or other disciplinary actions. Woman are just as guilty in some instances of being the aggressor in a domestic violence affair even though the courts may have impugned the male involved. I have just one question, why is it we have only read about the involvement of black men & women in domestic disputes, I wasnt aware of it being only a black thing, how about asking Federal Alabama judge Mark fuller whose involvement in an act of domestic violence will be expunged after he completes a counseling program oh, and lets not forget he will still have his job!
